help!! need a solution to an srs issue quick Ok before you say anything.. i have searched alot!
I have a 2001 civic coupe with side air bags in the stock seats...
I just installed Corbeau a4 racing seats with corbeau harnesses...
My SRS light was already tripped before this install. After putting the new seats in I kept the factory seat belts as well and hooked up the 2 plugs under the seat. This leaves one plug unattached as that plug must go to the srs side airbags in the stock seats. Now i have been trying to get the srs light to go off. I tried the DIY many times and I can get the srs light too blink twice, i turn the ignition off and wait 10 seconds then turn it back on. But the srs light stays on everytime. So what do you think the problem is. I think i tripped the srs light originally doin some audio rewiring. But now I really need to get the srs light off because my parents are really getting mad and I am supposed to drive to florida tomorrow.
and please dont tell me to search! Can I reset the srs light with racing seats in there if I had side air bags to begin with?! any help quickly i would really appreciate.

Rep Power: 0 yes the plug goes to your srs light if you triped it before hand
you probly have to reset it dont how besides dealer and they wont reset it because of you seats easy salution put something dark over the light

Rep Power: 0 when the guy that put my system in took the seat out, he put the key in the ignition and turned it, and it caused the srs light to trip ... i went to honda and they fixed it for free

Rep Power: 0 well i called Honda dealership...and they say that since i had stock side air bags that have now been removed, that there is no way for them to reset the srs light. they say if the srs system is missing a component like the seat belt or the side air bags that there is no way to get the other airbags to function....
so this has been a shitty day for me.. and it looks like i am going to have to put the stock seats back in and leave my car at honda all day and pay $85 so they can check the whole system and then i will be trying to sell my brand new seats! so its been awesome let me tell you... in anyone is looking to buy seats please email me at administrator@importsnc.com pair of 3 day old Corbeau black seats (wide version) and 3 point bolt in harnesses and corbeau brackets... perfect for any civic without side airbags.
