There should be a connector that is for the seat belt sensor. It lights up to remind you to use seat belt.

once you take it out, you need to something. i believe the check engine light will come up. i had a honda tech reset it for me. he did something under the steering wheel. he said its for the air bags. i dont have side air bags either. i guess its the for the fronts. correct me if im wrong. *shrug

no the CEL but the airbag light will come on. once that airbag light comes on, the airbag system is deactivated. they dont want the bag to come out if your seatbelt isnt buckled...cuz that would probably hurt.

can you rip sensors from old seat, and stuff them into the new seat? this may allow you to preserve the sensors, although they may not work 100%.

^nope...the only way to keep the plug intact is to remove the seatbelt latch from the seat and install it on the new seat...it would require some customizing, but it would work.

I guess installing a set of front racing seats can be difficult then ? Esp. with the seatbelt sensor.

ummm........that plug is for the automatic seat belt adjusters. The SRS light will come on if disconnected, SRS is for the seal belt adjusters or side air bags if equipped.

Yeah i had that problem when I took my seats out to put sound deadender down... the SRS stayed on whenever I reconnected everything, I had to take it to the dealer, anyways... i wonder what every one with aftermarket seats is doing so the SRS doesnt stay on....

be very very careful with that connector. I had custom leather installed and they bent the connector. The air bag light came on and it took me a while to find it. the little wire in the connector was pushed to the side and very hard to see. I had to splice the wire and solder them together.
