Broken temp gauge!

Well, I just noticed today that even after the car is warmed up, the temp needle is still close to cold. It's four tick marks below where it was before, and I don't know what to do. Is the cluster going bad already? I have indiglos, but they've been on for months now. I don't know what the dealer will do and might blame it on the gauges. I've already tried unplugging the cluster to reset it, but nothing. What could this be?

Sometimes I get so mad at my car for the stupid stuff it does. Why does a new car have problems?

i don't know what's wrong with it. but my suggestion will be take out the indiglos. and take it to the dealer. it should cover by your warrenty. i don't see why the dealer won't cover. since you didn't touch the wires behind the dash. i guess except the power wire. but do bring it back and see what they say. if they doesn't cover, just get a after market one. they are like $30 on ebay.

I have an 02 civic, and I'm gonna take it to the dealer first. If I can't get another one, I'll let you know. Thanks! And I'm assuming the 01 is basically the same except black? Are the lights the same?

So I guess it's for a coupe? The sedans have yellowish backlight.

Maybe it's not the cluster, and there's an actual problem with the car?

I don't know why it would suddenly drop though. I'm so tired of worrying about this kind of stuff.

Maybe your thermostat is screwed up. Just put one in my girlfriend's Corolla... car would only heat up to 1/4 way up the gauge, not the usual 1/2. Replaced thermostat, now heats up like normal. I don't know what's up with your car, I haven't had any problems that I haven't caused myself... well, except an ABS wheel sensor.
