Unhappy Front axle noise???

Hello guys,. I have 02 lx coupe, lowered it, 16x7 wheels on a 16/55 series tires. No problem for about a year not until a month ago... Everytime a turn left an a bumpy road I hear a "cluncking" and "grinding" sound, and Ithink its coming from the axle RIGHT SIDE. I checked the axles and they both have "play" on it, went to the dealership and had it checked and they said its normal for it to have play and when they took it for a road test no noise was heard... So if any of you guys know anything about it or might know whats wrong with I would be greatfull for your opinion..Thank You so much!!!!

Well since it only happens in turns, and the car is lowered... I'd say you blew the shock or messed up the upper mount bearings. Either way, since the car is lowered, you got no warranty. Time for new shocks.

But first, look under there and see if the CV boots are torn. Its another possiblility.

I get the clicking and sometimes "clunking" upon hitting the brakes or slowly accelerating. 03' with 10k and the dealer couldn't find the cause. The struts don't appear to be blown and the axles seem tight enough. I'll eventually get around to checking the brake pads and the springs but you know how it is...laziness...

Man I get that same clunking sound when i brake, especially when i back up and stop and it pisses me off and the dealership said all they heard when they road tested it was the "normal sounds". They're just a bunch of over charging bastards.

Yeah I've been noticing the same lately. It's a 2001 LX Sedan, with 56,000 KM on it.

sometiems the clunking is from a loose cable linkage.
the bolt can back out inside the tranny...that's where
you clunking might be coming from, or scheck your front motor mout.
sometimes the bolt there gets looose and makes a clunking sound.
Just tighten it, or if you are an agressive driver like me, there is
a possability the front motor mount is broke...PM ,me for a status on this
