Concern about our oil system...

When doing "spirited driving" do you guys think our cars oil pump/pan/system can handle the oil sloshing around to one side? Is there going to be dangers of the oil pump not picking up oil during hard cornering?

If your that concerned, get an oil pressure guage. that will tell you if the pressure drops during corners and if you shoud get a bafled oil pan.

It doesn't. I have the gauge, I've never had a problem.

If the oil gets a little low you might encounter a problem in hard turns.

Example: When I got all my sway bars put in I decided to hardcore down the on ramp to the highway. When I got to last of it I passed 4200 RPM's and the VTEC came on. The oil shifted in the pan and the computer shut the VTEC off and the engine light came on. Everytime the RPM's got that high the comp and VTEC would fight it out. It felt like I was hitting the rev limiter...very scary.

the oil pan has a splash plate in it so the oil won't slosh around.
