fuel pump
fuel pump went bad as a result of bad gas now i need a new one butt i dont want to go to the dealer cuz i know they will give it to me in the butt tooo expensive i wanna know what years and what model pump could i put in my car i have a 2001 civic 1.7 ive heard most civic pumps are designed the same way butt i dont wanna fabricate any thing or rig the pump so it works i know walbro make nice pumps but not for 2001 civic only 2000 help

out of warranty?
my fuel pump and filter went bad on my *** too. I duno how.
car was 31k, still under warranty..
dealer fixed it in 2-3 days (had to overnight parts to them) and washed my car.
if you're still under warranty, I'd consider going to a reputable dealer around ur area...

Yes it can be partially bad, especailly if its not providing enough fuel pressure. The most common way to test for a marginal fuel pump or system problem is to have a pressure test done. If the pressure readings dont fall within the given specs then you know you where to start looking..
