if you cant hit a 16 in your car easily then something is wrong. i have NEVER made a 17 sec pass at the track, even in 90 degree weather. my lowest stock time was 16.1. i think i have some kinda factory freak though, i raced a kid around here with the same mods as me and killed him. he also had a 01 ex 5-speed.
like i said before, it doesent matter how much HP you get from the parts, its how much you take off your time with them.

My point exactly, I just wish people werent so stupid about it. Its ALWAYS been like this, I will say it agian. D17 responds EXACTLY the same as a D16, HELLO I HAVE HAD BOTH CARS I have DYNOED BOTH. And I can tell you the difference between the two is negligable within a 2-3 HP margin from 6th-7thgen. Simply put, you are not going to feel a difference from bolt ons in a D series motor, D series have always sucked without some form of forced induction. And guys, stop refering to it has a ULEV D17... the S2000 is LEV so I dont even want to hear it, that is in no way a valid arguement. And if you say something like "Hello welcome to ULEV D17 world" its going to be taken as the ULEV has something to do with the fact that the D17 is less modifiable as the D16.. So many people on here think they know what they are talking about, when really some one intially spouted there mouth off and suddenly it is a fact. Once and for all, the difference between the d17 and d16 is so small its not even worth talking about, which is why this is the end of my post on the topic.

D series engines are more of an economic type engine, better gas mileage, less polution, better for the world, B series engines still are, but not as much as D series, theyve just got more power to start with

what a waste of time and effort just save your money and do the swap find a wrecked rsx-s and gut it out. damn near everything fits into a civic off an rsx-s down to the drive train, exhaust, seats and a front clip off an rsx-s is going for about $6000 sounds like alot but you do the math how much for DC headers and exhaust, injen intake, and a decent turbo with intercooler which is the most you could hope for in a 7th gen civic deal with it and move on youll thank for this later when find out a k20a can get 500-1000hp on a turbo w/intercooler
