Interior Painting
And also I would like paint the dash part where my passenger airbag thingy is...like the real big dash part...anyone know how to get big piece off...and also would it affect the airbag if i take that dash off cuz there is a srs section on that passenger side of the dash???
airbag... hmm i wouldnt start poking at that, best off just taping off around it and make sure not to go over the tape :-D, and theres a difference between the plastic air vents, and your vivnly... so you might need 2 different types of colors... also when doing your air vents, GET primer i tryed without it... on my 6th gen, and i didnt look too good, then i primered it, and covered over that, and it looks ALOT better now
trim
Hey man you might wanna try this for about the same price as painting, I havent bought it but I plan to. Anyways check it out.
TRIM PIECES
TRIM PIECES
Anybody know where I can get plasti-kote paint? Autozone? advanced auto parts??? A I'm gonna sand my door panels...any recommended size sandpaper? Cuz I'm goin today to get a sander probably so i'll have one for future use..and i need to know wut would be the best sand paper for the doorpanels
Alright I've decided forget the dash and just paint trim pieces and doors and center console. I've got all my trim and center console painted but haven't gotten started on the doors just yet. I am planning to paint all of the door panels except for the carpet piece. If I took the carpet piece off and removed all the glue would it look good or would i have to paint it black or somethin? Has anyone taken this piece off and removed all of the glue? Did it look clean enough to just leave it like it is or did you have to paint it again???

If you look at the pics in the link, I removed the carpet from my door panels and painted them. There was glue residue left behind from the carpet. It came off easily. I did find that the section needed to be sanded for the primer and paint to get a good enough hold on the plastic. I used a fine sand paper for the job.

Yes but my question wuz did it look good before you painted it and after u removed all the glue...cuz i do not want to paint that piece..i am painting everything around it but don't like the carpet that is on there...and i just want to take the carpet off and leave it black and wanted to know if it would look good without painting it
