Arrow ViS Vader Hood......

Alright, Ive got a chance to score a 2 week old ViS Invader carbon fiber hood for $250. The guy said the fits a little off but with hood pins you cant tell. I havent been to look at it, but my main question is this: My car wont be garaged any and the hood has the vents in it, so would there be any problems with rain, snow or anything else getting down into the engine or anything like that? I didnt think there could be any serious problems but any input is appreciated. Thanks.

If you get paranoid, just go out before it rains/right when it starts and put a towel in the engine compartment, under the vents. I don't see how it'd matter all that much, but if it bothers you, towels are always an option.

I would go with the towel if worried about rain, etc. Road dust and rain get under the hood all the time while driving.

youll get more water in the engine bay than before but its not like its really gonna matter all that much. Thats a good deal on the hood so you could at least take it and if things dont work out sell it

shouldnt be a problem at all, look at cars like impreza's, the lancer, etc... all have scoops and vents, no problems at all....

I have this hood, I have had no problems, many cars come factory with vents in the hood, the water that enters the vent will run down the front of the motor. If it was a problem, I doubt VIS would have made the hood.
