EX - 127 hp
LX and DX - 117 hp

Not sure the TQ but someone else may post the TQ #'s. Why, may I ask, do you need to know? You can look under the hood to see what type of engine you have. Honda stamps a code on the engine that goes with the car. Example: EX 2dr or 4dr D17a2.

heh i guess i'll interpret this question..he's just asking if there were any major changes...sorta like in the 2k2's the suspension was hardened a bit..and they had lids for the cupholders..stuff like that..since i have a 2k2 u'll have to ask someone wit a 2k3 about that

You are correct....

and i'll add something else

EX: VTEC (for performance)
HX: VTEC-E (for fuel efficiency)
LX/DX: Nothing (because it doesn't even help on our cars!)

(Thanks Vinh for the correction)

Um, I wouldn't put the K20A3 engine (found in the Si) under my hood. I'd put the 200HP K20A2 from the RSX Type S.

i gotta question.. is there a possibility that the 03 d17a2 could have been degraded a lil??? Cause i mean i hear ppl in 01 civics being able to run a 15.8 stock, the 02's are running about low to mid 16's, and my 03 i have even been able to hit 16's.. i believe there is a small dif. because of the fact my friend has an 01 civic and he able to push 16 flat yet when he runs my car the best he could do was like a 17 flat?

Hmm. . . I really doubt it. Can you give more info? Like do you have LX or EX? Manual or Auto? Any mods? Rims? Anything that'll make your car heavier [ie. subs in the trunk]? Same goes with your friend's car.

i have a 03 ex manual stock.
my friend has a 01 ex manual stock.
he ran both our cars and one came out a second slower.
Could my engine just be a defect?

Not sure. Unless his is really broken into. And yours is still fairly new. Other than that, I have no idea. Sorry.

The newer engine may need to be broken in more. I ran a 16.5 stock in my 2001 ex. Its all about the driver. Did he have the same reaction time as when he drive his car? Did he say it felt slower than his car? Does his car have mods?
