CF hood pins question?

is it possible to safetly and securely hold down a carbon fiber hood or fiber glass hood
without the use of hood pins?

i really don't like the idea of drilling holes in a $375 hood......

i dont think it is nessecary to have hood pins with a carbon fiber hood. i have seen many that just use the existing latches.

Yeah, he had the DG Motorsports CF hood. Don't get that one. He was only driving something like 85mph too, right? I have the Fiber Images CF hood and I went as high as 100mph without hood pins. I was kinda afraid that it would fly up and destroy my car though, so I installed some hood pins. Now I can be sure that my hood will stay latched no matter what speed I'm at. Get some, if only to keep you sane. I made a DIY on this. It's linked in my signature.

I would seriously get some Hood-pins My hood flaps now even with the pins. I couldnt imagine it without them. Plus on my hood the factory latch and the latch on the hood dont match up. In order for it to work I would have to raise the factory latch on the car. ie. cutting on the rad. Support to get the extra room need to raise it up enough so I figured I wouild rather drill holes in the hood rather than cutting on the car it-self.
