bulb - headlight

well I had some problems with fogging with my DIY gunmetal painted headlights
I fixed up the fog (opened it up used a hair dryer for a few mins) then i put some silicone all around the headlight

well anyways, later that night when i put my headlights on
my mtec 2x bulb burned out!
the side with the fogging

is this just a wierd coincidence?
or was it because there was some fog, and water isnt good with bulbs or something? i fixed it and sealed it up thou?

or is it because i sealed it all the way, it got too hot?

i can put in a new bulb in, but i dont want it blowing out the second i put it in and turning them on

does any one know what happened?

Yeah. . .electric stuff doesn't like moisture.. . Now that you have it resealed I would think it would be ok. . Just make sure you aren't touching the glass part of the bulb when you put it in and make sure the bulbs are 55w. You shouldn't have a problem with it getting too hot ..
