2004 Honda Civic hybrid no crank no start
2004 Honda Civic hybrid.
New 12v battery, new starter, new relay fuse, car had originally died driving down the road. The hybrid battery doesn’t show any charge, it hasn’t been started since dec 2021. Doesn’t make any noises when I try to start it but all the electronics work…any ideas????

The radio should go off when you turn the key to the 'crank' position. If it doesn't, there is something wrong with your ignition switch.
Check the green 'key' light on the dashboard - the car won't crank if it doesn't detect the immobilizer chip key. Are you sure you have the right key, not one which is 'doors only, no starting', as sold by some third parties?
Normally, the radio will go off, there will be a brief delay, then the car will start using the hybrid assist motor. If the hybrid system has any faults (main battery below 11.5 volts or hybrid battery below 135 volts, too cold, too hot, or just in a bad mood), it will start with the regular starter motor.
If that doesn't happen:
Disable the IMA system. Remove the back seat, flip the big switch to 'off', remove the cover and unplug the data cables to the top left computer box in there. Keep your fingers clear of the high voltage stuff on the right! When reinstalling *put grease on the screw threads of the cover*.
Try starting it again. This time, it should directly use the starter motor. If that works, you have an issue with the IMA computer.
If that doesn't work, try bypassing the starter solenoid and see if it runs. If it does, the solenoid or wiring to the solenoid is broken. You could fix it... or let the car idle for 10 minutes to charge the big battery and then hope to never need the starter motor again because you'll always start with the hybrid system...
If it's a manual, try push-starting it too - it's a tiny engine so easy to do - just 5 mph is plenty.
