Door Lock Problem
Door Lock Problem
Ok guys, as i stated before, i have a 1999 honda civic EX 4 door. None of the power door locks work when i press the remote or the inside driver's door switch. At first, it was just the driver's door lock that did not work, but now none of the four doors work. i replaced both the driver's door actuator and the inside switch on the door and the power door locks still do not work. Does anyone have a clue as to what it could be? i'm guessing its a wiring issue but i'm hoping its not. Let me know. i would appreciate any input.
Re: Door Lock Problem
Have you checked by pulling the door panel and making sure that the cable connector to the switch assembly hasn't come off? There are a couple of fuses and relays to check.
The lock and unlock operation is carried out by supplying ground to the central security module from the door lock control switch. The door lock switch will lock and unlock all doors by grounding the appropriate circuit to the central security module. The central security module then supplies power to the appropriate common actuator circuit to lock or unlock all doors. So you might want to check the central security module.

Re: Door Lock Problem
i did pull the door panel and everything seems ok. All of the connections seem to be in place. Where is the central security module located? I will check that but i am not sure where it is located.
