I have a 92 civic hatch. Manual trans. When the car is idling at a stop light, the rpms rev up and down. It seems to get worse as the engine heats up. I cleaned the IACV and it still idles the same. Any ideas???

if your check engine light is on you can check what code its throwing

usually a tps sensor that is not calibrated properly will cause idle to fluctuate. you can try to reset it using a multimeter to the correct voltage (see haynes manual) but its easier to get a whole used throttle body with sensors and swap it in. i dont think they cost more than $50 if you check ebay and junkyard and its easy to change. just be sure to get the correct type for your car auto or manual trans.
