On saturday i went to start my car and it died. i went to start it again and it died again. On the third try it started and i reved the engine a little bit. on sunday as i drove off and stopped it just died. i put it in park and brake. i went to start it and it started back up again.
It did this a few months back and i went to see what was wrong. The battery was low and i got it replaced under the idea it was the battery causing it. I had a gentle men from Kragen Auto check the alternator and its fine. i told my boy friend who worked on his car and is knowledgable and i told him all about it. he thinks it could be a vacuum leak as well as something else.
the two times it died on the weekend was when i started it in the morning before i went to work. When i drove it on the freeway today (1/25/10) it felt like it was shaky, but i couldnt tell if the wind was blowing hard.
im hoping someone can help me because im not all that knowledgable in cars.

what exactly is happening when it dies. does the car shake, rpm drop, does it have problems driving or feel like alot of power loss? try the common things first like plugs/wires/distributor cap and rotor.
