Hi can any1 help with this problem.
I have a honda civic 1.4i S and the heater fan motor only works for 5 mins. i turn the fan on and it starts fine but after bout 5 mins it slows down and then stops completely dead and it will not work again for the entire trip.
Can any1 solve this problem?

What year is this Civic ??

If you can access the fan cage you may be able to spin it and see if it is tight or gets tight after running.

The year is 99/00 V reg

If the fan does stick do i need a new fan?

It may be possible to lube the bushings, it would be worth a try.

I tried a little experiment this morning on my way to work i put the fan on and it did as it normally does but i decided to hit the motor compartment and it started again for about 5 mins.
