i bought a used 02 civic si and something is kinda fishy
I dont know why this happens but if someone knows what is up, then that will be really helpfull. this only happens sometimes but when i press on the brake kinda hard the horn honks. also sometimes when i unlock the doors with the car on the horn honks. Also when i go over a big bump the horn honks. Any body know whats going on? Also when the horn honks the interior light goes on to.
one time when a girl was crossing the crosswalk i didnt see her so i had to slam on my brakes and the horn went off. she flipped me off and it was embarassing!
thnks!

That's hilarious!! But seriously, sounds like a faulty wiring job with the horn, maybe as simple as a loose connection. However, this will be hard for anyone to diagnose over the internet. I suggest taking it to a shop and asking them to inspect your wiring very thoroughly.

Yea this is a hilarious case, but can be dangerous if u accidentally honked at a Police Car
Yes, it's way too difficult to determine the cause online, only a mechanic can tell u what's causing it!
Re: i bought a used 02 civic si and something is kinda fishy
i honked and flashed my lights at a cop yesterday cuz it was night time and his lights were off... he did that thing where the sirens kind of go "donk donk donk" to say thanks. that or, you're an *******, buddy. but this guy's problems are really funny, but i guess they aren't to him.
Re: i bought a used 02 civic si and something is kinda fishy
Since nobody has asked this so far. . . .Does it have an aftermarket steering wheel on it? Did you carfax it to see if it has ever had a claim against it? If it's had a claim, odds are it may have been in an accident and the airbag could've been deployed. If that's the case, it is more than likely a wire could have been jarred loose. If it is an aftermarket steering wheel with an aftermarket horn button, the wire that connects the horn could have easily come off if the wire was not crimped on properly. If it's 'no' to both of the above scenarios, I agree with everyone else, take it in. Last thing is open the fuse box under the hood and check the horn relay. Could be loose, the wrong relay, or god knows what. Either way, best of luck
