okay guys its been ages since i've posted. my 03 honda civic hx has been ideling (sp?) pretty bad. when i come to a stop my rpms jump up and down from 900 to 1500 3 or 4 times then goes back to ideling (SP?) normal. also when i back out in reverse and then put in drive my car sometimes shuts off and i have to start it back up. anyone know what the problem could be. thanks damon

The first thing I would try is to learn the idle relearn.

then if that doesnt solve it buy yourself a OBDII reader and find out if it's throwing some codes. Then teh problem can be diagnosed better.

How's the temp doing?

the temp is fine same as the first day i bought it brand new. this is the first time i've had engine trouble w/ my car and it has 90K+ on the engine. my engine does this at least 2 to 3 time a day.

havent had it check to see if its throwing a code or not. i guess i'll just bring it in after christmas. i just wanted to get a few ideas from other people and see what it could possiably be
