avoiding rust
hey guys so I'm moving out to the east coast next sept for school and I really don't my baby to rust.... I've lived in the prairies my whole life they don't even salt the roads in Alberta so I don't know what to expect when im living on the coast ...... do i need to do anything to my civic to rust proof it ....ive heard most rust preventer's don't actually work or is my best bet just to wash it frequently

Oh, thats like going through the redlight district and not looking.
Dont drive in the wintertime maybe?
I live in pdx- portland oregon, and we hardly get snow or ice, only a few times a year, and even then they throw gravel down instead of salt. My buddy is from michigan and brought his accord out here. When I showed him how to change his oil, I was shocked by the amount of rust on his car- especialy it being an 04 and mine an 01. **** happens though.

Heres a cheap and easy way to prevent this. WASH YOUR CAR! Ha... After a snow, etc... Simply wash the car, especially the undercarriage. Hope that this helps!
