I'm going to assume you atleast know how to put the fog lights into the front bumper. I take it that you are having trouble with the electrical part of it.

Re: 99 oem jdm fog lights

Ya i got the lights in but wasnt able to take a look around for the route the wires took. im sure i could find it because the car is still wired cuz my old fogs were just ripped out. Do you know the exact route that the wires go or if there are factory wire harness already there? thanks for the help!

Re: 99 oem jdm fog lights

Has anyone re-wired a pair of fog lights and had issues with the stock wires and the ones that you bought. I am having a problem with the connectors, they are the same male side. any thoughts or suggestions?

Either hard wire them or get new connectors. Just make sure any splices are water tight. If you extend the wires make sure you stick with the same guage wire.

Re: 99 oem jdm fog lights

There is no "route" that is predetermined for fog lights. I mean some cars have the factory harness but only if your car came with fog lights stock. I would just look for a route that hides the wire pretty good. I don't know what state you live in, but in order to pass inspection in PA your fog lights have to turn off when you turn your high beams on. If you don't know find out. Other wise you just run a power wire from the battery and to the switch and the other wire to the fog lights. Lemme know if you need anything else.

Re: 99 oem jdm fog lights

I finally got them working. what i ended up doing was splicing the end coming from my car and the one going to my car. then they still didnt work because the ground wire coming from the lights got pushed out when you connected it. i pushed the ground back in and now they work. thanks for all the help
