Hey came by to see what some peeps can help me with, well so I'm thinkin about getting a 92-95' Civic and I just dont know what is more reliable. What should I get for a cheap price and good reliability, I'm looking for a more reliable car. Well if anyone can help me out tell me what I should go with DX, CX, Si etc. and what useualy went wrong with their own so I can get at it earlier.
Well I'm not goina do all that much to it I know I'm goina put a dual exhaust kit, maybe a small turbo dipending on if it makes it less reliable, carbon fiber front end (fenders, bumper, hood) and I'm goina make a custom mold for a wide body kit. Oh and if anyone knows if its illigal in ,MB to cover the rear side windows? because I want to cover half to a quarter of the back window to give it a shelby look.
Well if anyone can help me out with it thanks in advance and also just to add it in their planing to drift it, customize the springs and sway bar to make it slide.

Re: Help The New Guy
Allright, well first off, welcome to the board.
second... go with an Si, it'll give you a better base to start the kind of mods your looking to do.
third, you arent going to gain better flow with dual exhaust, you'll just add muffler weight and loose a lot of money. Spend it on the turbo. There was a thread here in the past few days on this.
fourth, I dunno if its illegal- should call up your DMV type department and see.
lastly, if you want to drive, make sure your driving a rear wheel drive car, abandon your thoughts of a front wheel drive drift car right now.

x2. sounds like your going to put in alot of money into an old car. BTW, front wheel drive cars don't drift that well. Get a 240 or somethin in order to "make it slide".
As for giving an "import" car a "domestic" (shelby) look seems kind of weird IMO.

Re: Help The New Guy
Why did they have to ever make a hollywood movie about drifting?!! Da*n you FATF for tricking kids into thinking its cool to drift cars for no reason except to smoke your tires, I swear bridgestone helped fund that movie! Kid you need to do a little research, it will help you avoid asking retarded questions.
Re: Help The New Guy
not to sound harsh, but that is alot of work for you to do (research, work and money) and you dont even know what car to get. I had planned to do alot of work with my car too but with the time and money i have, its not as easy as it sounds. I could be wrong, as in you could have the sickest ride in about a year, but please research before you start having big plans on what to do with ur car.
Oh well, that is what we all went thorugh when we're 17.
