Re: IDeal Setup For a 2000 Sir
Sounds like your car is already set up pretty well. I have a stock 2000 EX (U.S. version of the SiR if I'm not wrong). I am also looking at droppong it 1.5" (I think 2" would be too much for a daily driver). I'm also going to go with 195/55/15's, again this will be enough for a daily driver. If it was just a fun car I would go with 205/16/45's. I am not that famiuliar with the SiR, my car does not have a rear sway bar, does yours? I will be putting one on in the next month or so, I will be going with a 19mm Bar. I'm ordering a front strut brace and short shifter today. Once I get my rear sway bar and wheels I will also add a rear strut brace. Cold air intake and axle back exhaust will follow. As for shops in your area the only one I know of is Vibrant Performance, they are in Mississauga; 905-564-2808. I have talked to them several times (Deryck Griffith). They seem to know what they are talking about and I'm sure would steer you in the right direction for stuff they don't carry. I'll tell you with the strength of the Canadian dollar now you would be best off to come to the U.S. and buy your parts. For what it's worth I live in Memphis, TN but have been working on and off at Ford Oakville ***'y for the past 2 years. Good luck with your car.
