Body Kits
I've heard that eBay body kits are junk and hard to get a good fitment.
I am not questioning what I've heard, but I am looking for clarification...
Does that go for both fiberglass and urethane kits, or just fiberglass?
Has anyone had an experience with them?

Re: Body Kits
Fitment has to do with the manufacturers dilligency in creating the mold, not the material itself. If you order from a good company, it'll be fine. Ebay is a tough call because they don't always list, or know the infomation that pertains to the kit. For example, what kind of fiberglass/resin/plastic etc. Weather or not it has a gel-coat, if the holes are predrilled. What kind of primer they use, there are a lot of things you should know before you buy.
There are dozens of threads on this concept. I've written all kinds of stuff on the subject. I will dig it up for your reading pleasure.

I've only ever installed fiberglass. I guess it's personal preference. The Urethane doesn't crack which is nice, but the fiberglass doesn't warp under heat and pressure.
Bottom line is, Body kits or any body modification is going to take time and effort to install correctly. You CAN do it yourself, it's going to take a LOT of hard work. But you can save a lot of money!
