Questions... that need answers about swapping...

Well im just got an EG Hatch

and i have money to swap it.

Now this is my predicament.
Honda has so many motors to offer and idk what to do...

H22A sounds nice
F20B
F22B
The LS Vtec sounds good too
GSR
or the teg/vic Type R's

i mean i want the H22 because it's gonna be fast as **** and i'll beat quite a bit of stuff out there, but i've been told by my friend Tyler who also has an EG that that swap is a death swap...

but idk, i mean what do you guys think? is an H22 really too much for me to handle in a stripped out hatch?

also ob1 or ob2? what are the major pro's and con's to them?

cuz i hear ob1 is the way to go cuz emissions are easier to pass since i live in GA i have to pass emissions and i dont feel like paying off a guy 200 bucks every year just to pass...

See my issue is, is that my 2 friends have hatches one has a GSR and the other an F22B... they are incredibly fast, and im telling them im gettin this EG and puttin an H22 in it, and i think they are tellin me not to get that motor cuz they know i'll beat them, so i want an unbiased opinion on what i should do, and what would be the smartest swap.

Just throw some ideas out there, and what you would do, i really want to hear some oponions.

Thanks,
Joe

honestly dude id stick with obd1 cause itll be easier to swap since the car is obd1. and for the motor id go with a gsr your gonna make a decent amount of power out of the box. plus that motor seems to respond decently well to bolt ons. but if you wanted to use an obd2 motor i know some companies make a jumper harness so you can run it with ease. pretty sure hasport makes some

i can handle up to 3 grand

and the K series motor worth buying is the Type-R, Type-S is acceptable tho lol

but i want a JDM motor that's inexpensive and has a decent amount of power

does it have to be jdm??.. i mean the only real difference between a type R and a type S is 10hp +/-..

well the biggest difference is the compresion, the redline minor things that could make upgrades be more effective.

but ur right, there isnt much hp difference, torque either.

but a k series is out of the question.

toooo much money!
