Could you be a little more descriptive? Single click/pop or multiple clicks/pops? Only when moving, only when stopped, both? Only when going straight, only when turning, both? Auto or manual?

There are some threads about the tranny making noises (clicks) when driving.

The pop when turning may be your suspension. Have you replaced your shocks and/or springs? They may not be indexed correctly.

The clicking is really only when backing up of taking off from a stop and usually just one click. The popping sound is not loud but just enough to hear it with the radio off and sometimes you can feel it barely in your feet. The popping sound occurs when turning the wheel left or right at a stop or moving slowly like driving slow turning in a parking lot. And i do have aftermarket springs and shocks but i had them for while and no problems with them. Any ideas?

The pop definately sounds like suspension. The spring has moved off its perch/seat and when you turn it loads the spring and it pops back into place. Maybe you hit a pot hole/speed bump and it knocked it out. Usually removing the spring and reseating it should take care of the pop. I remember hearing that when the bearing was going bad it made some noise, but I think it was more of a creaking than a pop. Maybe someone can clarify.

The single click, I have no idea. Most tranny clicks are multiple clicks I believe, and CV joint would be clicks usually when turning.

I had that single click problem too, It wouldn't make the sound all the time, but when i'd take off i'd hear it and it was one donk or clink. Last year i replaced my lower control arm it cured that problem (factory cost 225) a little on the steep side. This year i also started having the same problem on the opposite side, i bought the control arm aftermarket( however it didn't fit) so i put the old one back in along with new lower ball joints and prothane dust cover boots. To my surprise it fixed the problem, also it could be that the bolt going thru the lower control arm, (19MM) next to old pan towards front, needs to be tighten down. If you can't tighten any more try taking it out and putting antisieze on it on screw it back in tight as heell. Hopefully you can just tighten the bolt, the ball joints can be alittle pain in the *** if you get salt and sh%^%^ on the roads.

I have a 96 ex coupe

It sounds like problem i had before. Clicking sound whenever i turn or drive slow. (Pretty obvious and loud though) The problem was a loose bolt at the top of my suspension(coilovers). I just tightened the bolts and the sound was completely gone. Don't know if that'll help.
