I'm Laura from Bessemer City, NC. I have had my civic less than a year! Its a 99 civic lx. The reason I'm on this site, is because I can't find out whats wrong with it! I went and filled up the tank on my way to work, drove fine and everything, that next morning, I woke up, was heading out, and now it won't crank! My machanic has checked the fuel pump, but its working. He also changed the main relay, it still doesn't work! What could this be? It's turning over, just won't crank! The fuel pump doesn't engage. We took the fuel pump to a battery, and its turning. Is there anything else we can try or do that could get it to crank? Please help me!!! Thanks!

You have to see why it is not getting power. Get a voltmeter and check continuity between your fuel pump ground and a known good ground. If thats good then you need to check why no power is getting to the pump. It could be the fuel pump relay is bad. Checking all your fuses if you havent already is also a good idea. Even the fuses under the hood.

do you hear the pump prime when you turn the car to the on position if yes then change your fuel filter and get a new mechanic if no do what 04 civic says but still get a new mechanic

sounds like u need a new battery. id get ur battery tested to see if its holding its charge.

if not it could be ur alternator not charging ur battery. u can get that check as well.

and if ur battery and alternator is good, then is ur stator.

let us know of any other findings u get so we can narrow it down

hmm if the motor is turning I doubt its the starter
