Spark plugs

Hi everyone,

What would be a good, high performance spark plug to use, and buy at my local auto store? Thanks.

Re: Spark plugs

theres no such thing really as a 'high performance' spark plug. unless you're seriously modified, just get some OEM NGK spark plugs.

Re: Spark plugs

NGK BKR7E there good to about 500hp they work wonderful won't give you any issues, they are some of the best spark plugs you can stick in a honda and they are cheap (about $1.75 a piece) and they are perfect at a stock level

Re: Spark plugs

U don't need it but if u want it grab some iridium plus by ngk, really all hi-po plugs will do is burn a hole... through ur wallet, and basic bolt ons like intake header and exhaust u won't see anything, might as well just get oem plats then save up and do cam work or a turbo

Re: Spark plugs

Yea, NGK or Denso I think our cars mostly come with Denso. Putting high output plugs on our cars will probably cause them to run shitty. Happened to me with my old Volvo when I did it.

Re: Spark plugs

i use nology plugs. silver is the best conductor available for spark plugs. platinum is second. iridum is super hard, so it's the most durable, but also the least conductive.

problem: not available at most stores, need to order. about $7 a plug.

Re: Spark plugs

^but really, sticking with some oem or NKG IX are more than enough...

its not gonna do anything dramatic as far as ur engine is concerened. you might gain that .09hp but thats about it. will it save you gas? sure it will in comparasion to old plugs...

there is just no reason/need to spend alot of money on these.

A lot of people don't realize it but it does really matter about which metal is the best conductor you need to use what the motor was designed for this is why you can't use bosch in these engines, and is why Denso or NGK is the best and safest bet to run in a honda motor. these engines were designed to run on these. there is no reason to spend 50 bucks on a set of plugs when $5 will give you a better result.

Re: Spark plugs
