My power steering sounds like its about to go. Without turning the wheel, it will make the sound/noise as if its pumping the fluid. No leaks that I can see. Is this a sign that the power steering pump is about spent?? My Honda has 122K miles.

if it making a loud whine type sound when you turn the wheel, then yea its on its way out.

no - no major sounds when i turn the wheel - understand that much - it's almost like a computer glitch - like its getting a signal to "use" power steering
or something

Change out the fluid. See if its still making noise after that. $3 diagnostic. Even PS fluid needs to be changed every once in a while.
