for a '00 civic SI what oil would be best synthetic or petroleum? I'm thinkin about going with synthetic.

mobile 1 5w-30 full synthetic or 10w-30 depending on mileage...

well with synthetic youre pretty much screwed if you wanna get oil changes from the stealership. And if you're like me it costs like 3-4x as much. Especially when you have to be buying an oil like 5w20

Why are you screwed if you want to get oil changes from the "stealership"?

If you're concerned with price, you should do your own oil changes, and realize you can get it done for about half the price that shops try and get you for. Or, you can use nice synthetics, and do it for about the same price (give or take) than the shops charge for dino oil.

you realize you can buy your own oil and take it to a shop right? just make sure its somewhere you trust, otherwise they just steal it and put their junk oil in, or no even change it.
