Intake Question
Ok on the attatchment below, I realize the first box sitting on the IM is the air filter. In the bottom left of the engine bay, is that another filter or not? Plus just so you all will get an idea of my problems, here is my trip meter reset when I filed up...my gas mileage isant the best. Give me all the best tips to tune up!

Re: Intake Question
all i see is a tube that goes from the filter to the fender. those boxes dont look like they're connected to the intake tube. they might be fuse boxes. open it up to see. and for the gas gauge thing, just take it to the dealer, i had that problem in my 03 EX. i think they said something about a faulty gauge thing in the gas tank.

Re: Intake Question
Is there a way to test the O2 sensor and see if its alright? Instead of making a new thread im also wanting to get rid of the whole thing there and get a air intake. More for gas not HP, will any one off ebay be fine? I dont see spending $150 for a AEM thats just a piece of metal tube and a filter.

the metal tube doesn't really matter if it's just a single pipe, but the filter matters. ebay is usually fine if you don't really care about brand name

Re: Intake Question

if your getting ebay, make sure the pipe has a diam that will fit a better aftermarket filer, like AEM or KnN

I spent 250 new, but thats what ya gotta do when you wanna be one of the first people with something. Gotta say though, I love my V2.
Re: Intake Question
i just sold a 98 civic same engine too d16y7 you will need to remove the plastic air box on top and the plastic tube pops put and just unbolt the resonator and pull it out mine was kinda hard to get out though

Re: Intake Question
the box by the fender is the resonator. take it off and it'll sound louder.
as for your gas mileage, there are a number of things. dirty filter, bad 02 sensor, low air pressure in your tires, driving habits, etc.

Re: Intake Question
^^werd. Agreed, if they're bad they'll throw the CEL. In my case, the Blazer has 105K on the clock with original sensors. My gas mileage sux even worse now, and I've done all the other tune-up bits. Its time for O2 sensors. So go by a CEL or mileage (80K plus and start thinking about it) to replace them.
