Rep Power: 221 Dude, you live in Texas and you eat at Chili's? WTF, here in CT we'd kill for some decent Tex-Mex made by real Tex-Mexicans. Wow, you lost me there. (Just messin' with ya.)
But really, it sounds like you have a leak. Try idling your car and look for a drip or the smell of gas (no smoking though).
Good luck.

Thats happened to me before, ive left it idle for about 10-15 minutes and it ate up like a 1/5 of a tank of gas. I thought it was weird also but i know for sure its not a leak. My car runs fine when im driving around, but it seems like that one time i idled it, it guzzled.

Rep Power: 788 the rule is if youre letting the car idle more than a few minutes, shut off the engine. everyone knows idle uses up lots of gas.

Rep Power: 0 35 mins is a long time to idle your car and if you have a gas leak the evap system will know and throw a check engin light for an evap code. but iunno half a tank thats about 6 gallons of fuel used up idling. Hope u find out whuts wrong. Id say dont idle ur car lol.
