Question Oil

I recently got a 01 honda civic 110 km on the engine.
Is it wise to add a Slick 50 to the engine???

I would not. Why are you thinking about adding it? If you want to clean up the internals, there are better ways of doing that.

Yup, like ctx said, I wouldn't bother with that. If you really want to clean the engine up internally, tring buying a REALLY good synthetic and running it for a couple oil changes, that will probably be the best thing you can do.

Slick 50 isnt a fuel or engine cleaner.... it is used to protect engine internals I believe. It wouldnt hurt to use it.... but it probably isnt necessary. Just do routine oil changes and you should fine.

I agree with jrfish. If the engine is really bad, which i doubt it is with that kind of mileage, i'd look into a product called auto-rx. Lots of info on it at bobistheoilguy.com.

But if you want something which requires less work, just use a good synthetic like Red Line or Mobil 1. But out of all the synthetics, Red Line is probably best for cleaning properties.

if you want to clean up the engine, just run sea foam through it (thats to clean out the internals), Ive heard alot of bad things about slick 50, but like everyone said, a good Synthetic like Redline or Royal Purple

i would only use auto-rx or lubecontrol.com products for the oil and gas. even the honda manual says not to put anything in the engine. all the store stuff is crap pretty much.
