i know most of it was inspection type stuff well right now my gas light comes on at about 250 miles and i drive city highway, its san diego, so you have to take a freeway to get anywhere. its been really hott so ive had the ac on like max, but still 25 miles to the gallon, would changing the atf fluid do anything , ive changed the air filter, had an oil change tire rotation, i guess i should check to make sure my tires are properly inflated, but still 25? what else should i look out for?

Theres only a few things that would have a serious impact enough to cause a mpg to be that low at 30k. my vote is #1, i doubt your o2 sensor and plugs are already bad at 30k.

1. your driving.
2. primary o2 sensor
3. spark plugs

Also, try cleaning your fuel system. Even though at 30K it shouldn' t be that clogged, it will def improve some gas mileage.

take all the junk you dont need out of your car. extra weight lowers your mpg.
make sure your radiator is working correctly too, the cooler your keep the engine bay the better.

Its alright. Just go easy on that gas pedal. I got 23.8 mpg on my last tank driving very aggressively (I was in a hurry) where my car normally averages 32 mpg. I am estimating that I am gonna get around 35 mpg this time.

clean it with what? but my driving hasnt really changed, i mean on my last car i needed new brakes at 30k now both my tires and brakes are doing good, so its just odd how the car feels like its in a slump but i dont really want to take it in and pay 100 or more for inspection

Buy some fuel injector cleaner, the BK44 is good but $$$, there are some decent knockoffs for 1/3rd the price. I usually add this to my car about once a month. Do this a few times and see if this helps.
Make sure to add this when the tank is near empty then fill with gas(to mix it up) for best results. Run the tank down to near empty again.

I would do the atf flush as well which again is $$$ if you have a dealership do it for you.

I meant what 2k1_sedan said. Buy a fuel system cleaner, not the fuel injector cleaner that doesn't do much. They're like 8-12 bucks in auto shops. You can also have a shop and they can do a full out fuel system cleaning for like 40-60 dollars I believe they run. Even if its not the route cause it will def make the car run alot better. I started buying fuel system cleaner every oil change from 40K and the car seems to be running smoother and accelerating better. Also MPG is very very good considering summer. I drove from my house in NJ to Penn State University (almost 4 hour drive) and had a lil under half a tank doing roughly 80 the whole way with A/C on off and on.

Before you go and waste any money on fuel system products or an inspection, i'd wait to see if the poor mpg continues.

its not really city as in stop and go at lights and stuff, its san diego, so we take a freeway to get anyway, i know its summer too, and its been like 105 so the ac has been a lot, but it just feels like there is something wrong or that its slugish, i should check my tire pressure as well, but on the tranny note thats why i feel like changing the tranny fluid, just to hopefully make it last a while, but im getting ready for a road trip so i will be doing a lot of inspections plus i need to have my new rotors and pads installed anyways so i will ave them take a look

In very hot weather your gas mileage will go down. As does the power. You canna cheat the laws of physics, lad.

I'm getting about 32mpg w/ the AC on, 80% highway travel. Sans AC, I'm getting closer to 38mpg. I also drive at a level between normal/aggressive.

Automatic?
