heres the deal..ive only had my car (03 civic ex) for a year but my parents bought it when it was 2003. anywho, i just found out recently that my dad has been putting 10w30 oil in it since we bought the car. which means this car has been running with 10w30 for 3 years!! is it too late to fix this prob?

its not gonna kill it, just drain it and put in some 5w20 if your worried

thats really heavy, even 5w30 is only recommended during summer. well you cant do anything now but change back to 5w20 and hope it will be okay. if you dont live in cold climate, its prolly fine.

That is heavy!! As long as your not beating on it there wont be any problems, just switch back to 5-20, or 5-30 are fine.
