I cant wait till the US switches to metric, if it ever does, cause everything I do is in metric (engineering work at least) and its annoying.

We could change any day. No one is forced to accept US measurements, and I have yet to really use our stupid system outside of lumber and some occasional bolts.
Most measurements, if they are important, are already done in metric. I have seen many machines use everything in metric.
The metric system makes complete sense. Everything is uniform, standardized efficiently, and relates to one another. The US system is all over the place, and nothing ties together neatly. Its a mess.

Every time my light comes on I fill the tank... It takes 10.5-10.85 gallons to fill the tank at that point. So I'd guess around 3 gallons. Enough to get me to work and back for a few days.
to add to dexters math - our car's (well at least the 2001s) gas tanks are approximately 13.5 gallons so if u *really* wanna find out exactly - the next time the light turns on - fill your car up and see how many gallons of gas u filled. whatever that number is - subtract it from 13. multiply that number by the average mpg stated for your car and u'll know exactly how many miles it will give you after the light turns on the next time. this is assuming the light turns on at approximately the same place each time.
