Cool Re: 41 mpg~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only get 33.3 Ive recorded it for the last 5 months and its all 33.3 ?
95% of it is highway driving. What should I do to make it better ? or what do i need to replace?

That seems to be about average. I get about 34mpg doing 75% freeway

If you have a high lilacs car you MIGHT want to change out your o2 sensor. Also having a good air filter and some fresh oil helps.

But if you are getting 33.3mpg just be happy. Just use the money that you would have spent on the "gas saving mods" toward pouring gas. That's the best way and more cost efficient.

Now if you were getting 27mpg like the previous guy, then I'd start considerig taking a look into the matter

It's most likely not the car, it's the driver. You probably unknowingly have a lead foot

My best friend has a 2003 LX auto civic, and he swears he doesn't have a lead foot. He only gets like 28 mpg if he is lucky.

I borrowed it for a week when just to proved he had a lead foot and managed to get 35mpg on it.

Re: 41 mpg~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My gas mileage has drastically shot back up now that summer blend gas is back. I haven't filled my tank completely as gas is getting kinda pricey. When I come back from vacation, I gotta get some new tires. I'm gonna fill up and record what I get.

Re: 41 mpg~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I average 34-36MPG doing highway driving always filling up at the same gas station... That being said I know I have a lead foot. I always calculate my mileage every tank, I guess I should start writing them down.

Re: 41 mpg~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, I'm telling ya as long as you don't go over about 4000rpm you'll still get over 30mpg. You can get over 35mpg if you don't go over 3000rpm. That's with a 2001 EX manual with 192K that always has my cooler, golf bag, and toolbox in the trunk.
