1996 Civic Coupe

Just got the Civic for my girlfriend. We needed to replace her '93 Maxima after she got into an accident. The Civic has over 200,000 on the clock but the engine was rebuilt 80,000 miles ago and the PO had loads of maintenance receipts. I am having some trouble with the auto transmission though and I'm about to post a question looking for help over in the proper section.

Re: 1996 Civic Coupe

im glad i caught you before you (hopefully) posted that question. I don't know if you are new to forums and what not, but the quickest way to **** people off and get them to ignore your posts, is to post stuff thats been covered a lot. Your car is old enough that any issue you have has been covered. People like me will then jump all over it and flame it. Not happy forum time.

A lot of the guys on here are 7th gen owners, not a whole bunch of 6th gen and older but they are on here. My suggestion to you would be to google something along the lines of honda civic automatic transmissions troubleshooting and go from there and search and research. It's going to go a long way. Once you've done that for a few days, i mean that literally, then post a question if it has not been covered. It helps people like us help you and it keeps you from getting flamed. Plus you learn **** in the process

other than that, welcome to the cool kids club mate.

Re: 1996 Civic Coupe

Not new to forums and I know asking a question that quickly is usually bad form BUT I've done a lot of searching and can't find any reference to my particular problem. I wouldn't normally bust out with a "Help, I'm a noob!" type post but I can't find any info on my own and I need some help.
