First Civic...What to fix first?
First Civic...What to fix first?
just picked up a 98 EX coupe with 174,000 miles. gets inspected tomorow!
so far i know it needs:
starter needs to be replaced. anyone know the specific location for it?
what brand is recomended for sparkplugs?
HVAC lights dont work, and cant find a bad fuse anywhere?
car came with a CAI, what do i need to know about taking car of this? should i sell it and go back to factory?
also where can i find the Fuel Filter? under the driver seat in the fram like most cars?
any other recomendations would be great, thanks.

Re: First Civic...What to fix first?
+1. It's cheaper to just keep that in the car, unless you can find a full oem filter and box somewhere I guess.
As for the fuel filter:

It's right next to the battery(big yellow sucker on the passenger side of the engine bay). It's got that big gray bar sticking out of it. Can't really miss it, but visuals are always better to clear up any confusion.
Most people here suggest NGK spark plugs and Denso IIRC. I'm indifferent on Bosch.
Also, if you plan on doing future work, get yourself a Hanyes manual or an equivalent. I think every person should have one, even if they don't do a lot of car work.
