From redneck to rice

Not my first post here, but I've been browsing the site for a week now and thought I should introduce myself. Last week, I traded in my 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 (redneck) on a 2005 EX coupe (ri...well, you know). Going from 9mpg to 34 is quite a change!

Anyway, my reasons for switching weren't just economic. I want to set the car up for autocrossing (the truck was OK at it, but not spectacular--as you can imagine. 500+ horsepower and 5200 lbs doesn't make for a very nimble vehicle). So far, I've installed Kazera KZ-K 17x7.5" wheels with Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs, and swapped the rear sway bar for a Progress 22mm and tie bar. Next up will be stainless brake lines and some better pads, aluminum shifter cable bushings, and then probably coilovers. Oh, and LEDs (already swapped out all except the dash lighting), HIDs, and stereo stuff.

Lastly, I just want to say thanks to all for the (invaluable) information I've already gleaned here. Upgrade planning is much easier when you can read about all the options before dropping the money.

Pics to follow.

Re: From redneck to rice

The Ram srt10's are badass trucks but ya you was probably pretty happy from going from 9 mpg to 34 mpg. Cant wait to see pics and see what all is in store for her.
