I'm joining this because I just got my daughter a 2001 Civic Si, with 179K on it and it is in absolutly beautiful shape, almost showroom. Wanted to keep up to date with whats going on.
I have been around and working on cars for over 40 years, English cars, Greman cars, American cars, even a Saab and a Peuget. Had a original 1275 Mini Cooper S that was a complete race car on the street, 5 speed transmission, limited slip diff, cross flow head, 2 Weber side drafts, complete racing suspension and this car would run almost 150MPH and reved to 9000, in 1969. This was my first car. I have owned 2 Honda Civics and beat the crap out of them, sold them both with over 600K on them, never regreted them. One was a CRX, carbureted. last cars were Audi Quattro 2.8, fun car, 2 mercedes 506 SEL and Widebody SEC. Currently have 2009 Ford F150, 2001 Caddy Escalade, original 1990 190E 2.6 Mercedes.
