Newbie Here!
hello everyone my name is David. I just recently purchased a 2000 Civic SI (B16A2). Got a great deal for it 6500, it has 70000+ miles garage kept, 5 spd, sabre blue and BONE STOCK. I almost died when i drove it and thats all he wanted for it, i was glad to get rid of my Tiburon GT. With selling it and buying this i have 7000+ to drop into it. Im not looking to put a wide body kit on it or a retarded spoiler, i want seven under the hood and on the wheels (suspension, tires, brakes). Thats just starting off! I make enough to keep it in the garage, im not super rich just i dont spend money on entertainment centers and useless stuff its all for the car! I plan on taking it to shows, tracks and the occasional weekend drive down the cosway. Here is my thing though, never owned a Honda, have always been a fan but just to stupid to get one, that and you know the motto, cant beat'em join'em. I live in Tampa, so if anybody lives there let me know. For everybody else feel free to throw me a line and help me out in building the PERFECT ride. Im looking to be pushing 320 by the end of the year. If anybody knows of any serious defects with this model car PLEASE let me know so i can take care of it first because i havent read anything on it like that.

Re: Newbie Here!
complete engine rebuild with stronger internals. and a way to tune everything when its done like hondata. just depends how far you want to go. the engines are already very good, but for that much boost you have to upgrade certain parts.
ill do and replace and upgrade whatever it takes....lol. Just give me a list!

Re: Newbie Here!
well i dont know too much about the older civics, you may want to check other forums that are more into engine builds and older model (pre-2001). like maybe clubcivic.com but you are at least gonna need basic upgrades like pistons, valvetrain, rods, bearings, etc.
