05 civic ex sedan recommendations

Just picked up a 05 civic ex sedan automatic, last weekend. 19k miles on it, totally stock. I've spent the last couple days reading a lot on this site so I can be somewhat informed before I ask questions and for recommendations.
I drive anywhere from 30 - 100 miles per day depending on how many job sites I have to go to. Not planning on racing it, but would like a little more go-power and a good-looking car. My first mods were going to be AEM SRI and DC sports Ceramic Header 4-2-1. I can get the intake for $143 shipped and the header for $300 shipped. I would like to know if anyone has opinions on this combo and if there is anything else that is cheaper and just as good.

I really like the stock wheels that came with it so I'd like to keep those and lower the car just a bit. Since I do drive on construction sites I was thinking of the Tein S-tech's that only lower it 1.3f and 1.4r. I've found those for $152. Again I'd like opinions on these and if anyone else recommends anything else.

After these are done I'll probably look into more cosmetic changes like either clearing or blacking the headlights and taillights, changing the front grill and upgrading the head unit and speakers. I'll ask about these later.

Thanks in advance!

Jeremiah

i would save the money on performance stuff and invest in something else. i have intake and exhaust on my auto and really its more for sound. maybe a few hp more. i would start with some good springs (check the drop post to see how they look cause some will sag), then work on the stereo and exterior.

Thanks for the reply gearbox, but I forgot to mention I'm also after better mpg. In the reading I've done, I've come across several post about people gaining a bit better milage w/ intake, and I'll take any little bit I can. I also didn't realize the intake and header would effect sound as much. I thought all that was from the muffler....

Thanks again,

J

intake gets very loud when you press the gas hard or go above 3000 rpms. it wont give that much more mpg. i really only gained some from using www.lubecontrol.com products and maybe the hvs-gt from racinglab.com but mostly from the addatives. my 02 is getting 42mpg freeway miles. just keep up maintenance and you'll be fine. also the car doesnt break in til 20,000 miles usually and thats when youll see the best mileage.

you can use the fp60 right away in the gas, the lc20 for oil i would wait a while til the engine is broken in. they say 1,000 miles, but i would wait at least 10,000 to make sure everythings broken in.

well since I have 19k miles on the car already then I should be good to go for the lc20, right? Just went to lubecontrol.com to order a gallon of each. $33 for each gallon. Can I get it anywhere else cheaper? I didn't see any distributors in the central Florida area. Also, do you really add a couple ounces of FP60 everytime you fill up your car or is it more like everyother fill-up?

thanks!

its whenever im not lazy. i usually try and put it every fillup. i thought there were still coupon codes for the gallons, but maybe they expired already. these are last years... dont add anything to cart, just type these codes and see what happens. its for 1 gallon of each
