HID kit from a AUDI HELP ME!!!
just got used HID kit from a Audi a6 and i believe the size is H7 for the bulb. I know that our cars are H4 bulbs so in order for me to use thm i need to do some modifications. I have people tellin me to retrofit it with the projetors from the audi a6. But i dont have the money to buy it, saw some on ebay.com for like 150. But i was searchin online and saw people buy some H4 adapters to make the H7 bulbs fit. But im not sure where they bought it at. So i did a search on google.com and found a motorcycle site that sells H4 adapters for 12 bucks each. Click here for the site and pic Its the h4 adapter rings. I was wonderin for all the exerts out there, will this actually work? Please help and i hope they do? Can someone tell me if it works if i just bought that and they should fit directly with a whole lot of modifications? Thanks
If you got an HID kit from Audi A6 with factory HID then you won't have H7 bulbs. The HID bulbs will be D2S bulbs. H7 bulbs are a halogen form factor for bulbs. Some aftermarket retrofit kits will fit the D2S bulb into a mold that is similar to an H7 so that it can be used in H7 headlights. However, true factory HID will come with D2S/D2R bulbs.
