I sure as hell hope no one has thought of this yet, because I'll make an *** of myself. Anyways, you know how with non-projector headlights with the HID-look bulbs, the parking light is darker than the headlights (looks kinda purple)? Well, thats because there's not as much voltage going to the parking lights. Well, if I wired a resistor in series with the bulb, it should drop more voltage, and voila! Brighter parking lights. But. In order to figure out what ohm resistor to put in, I need to know how much current is running through the lights. I believe the headlights are rated at 12V. So, if we want the parking lights to have 12V dropped on it, we need to use Ohm's Law. I=E/R. E being voltage, I being current and R being reisistance. So, R=12V/?amps. How much current is running through there? I hope I didnt make an *** out of myself.

Sounds like a plan. Don't know about the current being put out, though. It may also matter where the lights get their power from (alternator or battery). I've read that upgrading the stock wire harnesses would make the headlights brighter. Maybe we can do the same for the parking lights?

I have regular OEM clear bulbs for parking, signal and sidemarkers. Ever since I hooked up the sidemarkers, I've noticed the light wasn't as bright as before. I think it would be cool to find a way to get more voltage flowing to those lights.

And using the turn signals takes alot of voltage!! I look at my voltmeter when using the signals and can see the needle moving up and down by a few volts with each click.

So does anyone else have ideas on how to give the lights a bit more voltage?

Well, the plan is sound, but I guess I could just start plugging in resistors and see what happens. Be back with the results.
