'02 Si Headlights
'02 Si Headlights
Hello gentlemen (and ladies),
I have decided to venture out into doing repairs on my car on my own instead of taking it to the mechanic or getting one of my buddies to give me a hand. That being said, I have a couple questions about my first project, my headlights.
1) What type of headlight do I need to buy in terms of shape or fitting? Are there certain ones I need to get for my year?
2) I've been doing a bit of research on types of bulbs (Halogen, Xenon, HiD etc) and wanted to get some opinions on what I should get. Budgetary constraints are in place so HiD's are out of the picture but I don't want to cheap out and go to Canadian Tire and get Sylvanias either haha.
Any and all input would be greatly appreciated! Sorry for the n00bish questions

Re: '02 Si Headlights
I'm thinking you have an 02 Canadian Si or US Ex and not the 6 speed hatch known as an EP3!
1.) yes headlights are specific to year. 01-03 they were the same then changed from 04-05. If they are just yellowing then you can restore them, and if want to change the color you can DIY that also.
2.) without upgrading to HID's your best bet would be to upgrade to a premium Sylvania bulb. Ultra Stars are the top, I believe, might be Silver Stars.

Oh, the bulbs. That also changed with the headlight design change in 04. For an 02 you need a 9003/HB2. Its a single bulb for both your low and high beams.
