Question Parking lights not fitting into headlights...

This is what came out of my stock headlight with the W5W Parking Light Bulb. Well this piece is a little smaller for the new headlight hole on the back and it just turns in there and doesn't lock into place. What the hell do I do? How do I get a different piece for the W5W bulb?

Here are the new headlights I got for now (almost just like stock)

Now, this piece didn't work on my last ALL Smoked headlights either but it was the same set up as my stock 01 civic Headlights that came with the car.

I'm not understanding as to why this has to be an issue with this lol. Please if anyone has any tips or comments. Because now IDK how to close the hole for now when they get installed so moisture doesn't get into them...

Thank you all.

Question Re: Parking lights not fitting into headlights...

Okay here are 2 pictures. One of me pointing to the Parking Light hole and the other is with the piece in the hole. It fits but when I try to lock it into place, it just turns and turns. Doesn't click into place at all.

Any suggestions or do you think I should just talk to Honda soon when they do my oil change? Because I have nice brand new parking lights W5W, and I can't even use them lmao.

Did you try contacting the seller of the headlights? Sounds like the headlights were made to take a different bulb connector (which would be stupid). Maybe they know the connector that you need.

by the looks of it, they are cheap *** headlights, so the seller/maker prolly didn't care or didn't want to spend the $100 extra to have the mold made to lock the bulb into place.

Yeah they told me they have never heard of that issue. I was very surprised that they are giving me a $40 refund because of the issue and stuff. I payed $76 for the headlights.

I think I will just see if Honda can do something to keep them in and go that route.

So what I'm going to do is get some silicone and put a little bit on for it to stay in place.

Re: Parking lights not fitting into headlights...

Will it seal enough so moisture does get in ? and...those bulbs dont have a super long life so can you get the socket back out to change it ??

I was told just put a little bit on and when it's time to change the bulbs, just cut the silicone a little and it should just come out...

RTV silicone should work well for that.
