Fog Light Harnesses
Fog Light Harnesses
I got an ebay fog light switch harness and decided to take it apart and found this mess of wires around the fuse near the wire that's supposed to go to the fuse box. Anybody know what function they might serve?

Also, say I wanted to build my own relay/switch harness so that the lights could only be turned on or off when ACC is on. Is this the correct scheme? (all wiring 14awg)
Relay Pins:
30: 12V in from battery w/20A inline fuse?
85: ACC from Radio (will this tax the radio harness?)
86: Ground
87: 12V to switch
Switch:
Power: 12V from relay output
Acc: 12V To fog light power harness
Ground: Ground
I own an '05 ex, so if i were to run a power wire using a fuse tap, would I need an additional fuse? Which circuits are safest to tap from? (in general, not just for foglights)
thanks!

Re: Fog Light Harnesses
i would put the switch between the acc and the relay 85. that way, the high current going to the lights only goes through the relay, not the switch.
