I'd like to swap my map, dome and trunk lights in my 2004 Civic Coupe.. I have 3 lights right above my head (2 map + 1 dome), then I have one more dome above the back seats, and then I have a trunk light too. Also I'd like to replace the bulbs above my license plate with white LED's too if possible...

Can you guys provide me with a link for some LED lights that will give off white light, not yellowish like I currently have? I want to swap all the lights. And if possible, let me know what part #'s I need, because I have no idea!

leds are a bit weird. i tried some to make the light whiter, its not a pure white but more of a blue tint to it and even the best leds are not nearly as bright as regular bulb. so you wont have light to see with either. stick with coated bulbs that give a white color like raybrig hypers, or just turn off the dome lights if you dont need em.

check the owners manual, its different for ex vs lx and dx and also if you have coupe or sedan. i think ledautomotive.com has the sizes figured out tho.

GEARBOX: on the front dome light...

i currently use one layer of red brakelight tape on the inside lens of the dome light (dome only) which gives off a dim red light (for its neutral, night-vision-retaining hue) which is great, unobtrusive, not bright, and doesn't appear illegal...
but, it's still red tape on a white light = a slightly more pink hue than red.

Would you recommend a red colored Incandescent or LED in the dome, in your opinion? I am not looking for bright, which is why red (neutral-hued) is my choice. Also, since sites don't offer Dome Part #s for 04-05 sedans, do you know if the 05 dome bulb is the same as 01-03 sedans since the housing appears to be the same?

Piaa makes some, the dome from the 6th gen vic fit the 7th gen.. but the hyper white bulbs of theirs look white when illuminated behind the lenses, but yeah they give a blue hue.... which sucks. Coated bulbs are like a really shitty florescent light. They look bad. Stick with the stock bulbs.

leds are the best cause they put out true colors at a single wavelength. i have single 1 watt amber led in mine

wow, that looks nice. much nicer than red tape. i think i'll go with red, but am i replacing with a 194 wedge? or 125 as TRIZ (and the above link for 2001-2003) states?

if you have the same front dome light as i do, they all take 194. be sure to get a 1w led, the other ones are very dim. here get it from ebay or autolumination.com and it will be pure red.

I got blue bulbs for number plate, looks classy.
It reflects off white plate .

Still wanna know if the inside lights will be bright.
