cutoff question (pics added)
i noticed on my tyc projector, one side has a cutoff that looks normal, but the other side is missing the red dash line, so it looks like there is only one projector from the way it looks with only one diagonal line and the two top cutoffs on the same line. is this normal, or does it matter for light color output or something?

The blue cut off line is in the red cut off line's way.
When you are close up against an wall you can see 2 distinct cut off lines.
When you are far away it looks like 1 big cutoff line on the wall.
I've noticed my projectors are like that.
If I'm wrong I need to reaim them.

okay i know about the top line that there are two thats why i made different colors. but the one side is missing a diagonal line, its there but you can barely see it when covering the other side and it doesnt have color. i'll try and get a real pic up. of both, then one side at a time.
umm....then i dont know what to tell u dude...cuz their should be two line...if u can take the pic with covering one light and then take a pic see how it look like....if it got stright line only.,.then something wrong with shield

okay sorry everyone i messed up last time and prolly didnt cover the headlights enough. i put my whole butt this time and they look fine lol. here are pics of both forward facing, then right, left, both from angle, and last one with the fogs on the bottom.

You could open them up and try shield/washer modding the projectors to try to sharpen the cut off.
Let me check my projectors and see if its possible before you start hacking away.

idk, i guess so, but why? they already have tons of color. I had to do my fogs cause they were yellow, but after some shield bending i got a tiny blue line. they're just ebay tho so prolly cheap design. did you ever post a pic of your cutoff? if the left/right aim is off, then you may not see any blue. when i first got mine, one was perfect and the other side was way to the right and up i couldn't figure it out til i started adjusting. they are pretty sucky out of the box but the lens is decent. okay maybe not but they should have color.

oh, can you post a pic? also did you see my diy headlight aiming for these in the lighting forum... its for vertical only, but for right/left i would suggest eyeballing which becomes very easy in fog/mist or even rent a fog machine or something lol. cause then you can see the beams better in the air.
I'll post a pic when I get my car bak from the shop...Some idiot hit me the other day....I will look that DIY up and get a good idea on how to aim them properly...I would still like to see if we could get even more color out of them though..I'll see if I can take them apart and do the washer mod once I get the car back...I love the cut-off color projectors produce....

ya me too but i'm too lazy to open em up and then aim everything all over. aiming is a pain because the lights have to come off. no room behind there.
